The Organization: For more than 50 years, National Charity League, Inc. (NCL), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has thrived as one of the nation’s most distinctive and well-respected mother-daughter membership organizations. Today, NCL has more than 160 Chapters with more than 40,000 actively engaged members – women and daughters in grades 7 through 12 – in 17 states. In fact, ours is the only such volunteer force of its kind serving local communities around the United States.
Annually, NCL members volunteer approximately one million hands-on hours in local communities, and as many or more supporting their own non-profit Chapter corporation.
Our mission is to foster the mother-daughter relationship in a philanthropic organization committed to community service, leadership development and cultural experience.
Diablo Valley Chapter members are residents of Alamo, Diablo and Danville, California. Our Chapter was formed in 1989 and we have grown to a current membership of over 140 mothers and 165 daughters. We are very proud that we support and meet the requests of our philanthropy partners by approaching 11,000 annual hours of volunteer service in our community.
